I Am The Not - The Ani Ain System Revisited

Part 2

Black then white are all I see in my infancy.
red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me.
lets me see.
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn beyond the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.
Withering my intuition, missing opportunities and I must
Feed my will to feel my moment drawing way outside the lines.

lets me see there is so much more
and beckons me to look through to these infinite possibilities.
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn outside the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.
Withering my intuition leaving all these opportunities behind.

Feed my will to feel this moment urging me to cross the line.
Reaching out to embrace the random.
Reaching out to embrace whatever may come.

I embrace my desire to
feel the rhythm, to feel connected
enough to step aside and weep like a widow
to feel inspired, to fathom the power,
to witness the beauty, to bathe in the fountain,
to swing on the spiral
of our divinity and still be a human.

With my feet upon the ground I lose myself
between the sounds and open wide to suck it in,
I feel it move across my skin.
I'm reaching up and reaching out,
I'm reaching for the random or what ever will bewilder me.
And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been.
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been.

Spiral out. Keep going, going...

Creation

The universe swings between two poles, the AIN and the ANI, each giving birth to the other.

If one were to summarize the Kabbalistic traditions, they are a way of approaching the following: "How is it possible that the Limitless One, beyond time and space, is connected to the limited multitudes of things inside time and space?"  That's a fancy way to say, "Granted that God made the heavens and the earth.  How did "He" do that?  What, exactly, are we made out of?"

The Tree of Life, Gematria, Zohar, and so much more can all be legitimately studied from this perspective.

Within the current context, the question becomes, "How does the beyond-space-and-time AIN connect to the oh-so-limited ANI, caught and trapped within space and time?"

The only answer available to us is Will.  The Limitless needs but one attribute to make manifest all: Will.  This, then, connects us to HaShem, The Name: Ahyh Asr Ahyh, I Will Be What I Will To Be.  I + Will = Being.  

The Name expresses the active, transformative power, the dynamism of the Universe.  The relationship between the AIN and the ANI happens through the principal of The Name.

We then gain the following:

The AIN expresses Will to become ANI.

The ANI expresses Will to become AIN.

In other words:

The AIN says "I Will Be ANI."

The ANI is called to say "I Will Be AIN."  

Or, yet again, 

The AIN expresses The Name to become ANI.

The ANI expresses The Name to become AIN.  

 

AIN Will Be ANI.

ANI Will Be AIN.

Not Will Be I.

I Will Be Not.

Not is the I.

I am the Not.

The Name represents the transformer from AIN to ANI and back again.

Let's back up a bit and use a famous example.

Philippians 2:

⁵Your attitude should be the same as that of Jesus Christ:

6Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,

7but emptied himself, taking the very nature being made in human likeness.

8And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death— even death on a cross!

9Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,

10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

This passage is remarkable in so many ways.  Simply put, this is describing God's Journey from AIN to ANI back to AIN, through the person of Jesus.

And we are admonished to have the same attitude, for that is the journey God is taking in each and every one of us.

Heresy?

Heresy, you say?  "But we are just created."  That, my friend, is exactly what we are talking about.  How were you created?  Created out of what?

The Bible's witness is plain, though we cannot, do not accept it.

The opening of the Bible:

"God said, Let There Be (as in "I Will there to be")....And it was."

And the New Testament:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

The simple (yet utterly beyond our comprehension) truth, then, is this:

God, the AIN Soph Aur, created everything by expressing His Will through Word.

What are you made out of?  God's Will and Word.  Nothing else.

When I was growing up we were taught in school that all matter was made up of tiny building blocks, called atoms.  We were taught that "atom" meant "can't be cut," as it came from the ancient Greek roots "A" (as in not) and "TOM" (as in cut).  All atoms have electrons and protons and neutrons, and these, ultimately, are the final, absolute components of matter.  We had finally found the smallest "things," and they are what everything else is built on.

Of course, that is not nearly the whole story.  We have now catalogued HUNDREDS of sub-atomic particles, the "things" that make up the electrons and protons and neutrons.  

There is no end in sight.  But this much is clear: there is no "thing" there.  There is no fundamental, smallest "particle" out of which everything else is made.  Many experiments point to the "ultimate" "thing" not even residing inside our time/space realm...

So, skipping ahead, the bottom line is that everything is made out of limiting the Limitless.  The whole E = MC² simply means that "energy" and "mass" are different velocity states of just one thing, whatever that is, and I am telling you it is God.

H₂O moves from SOLID (ice) to FLUID (water) to GAS (steam) to PLASMA (super-heated, glowing).  ALL elements do so.  These relate to the classic 4 elements of all ancient peoples: Earth, Water, Air, Fire.

And then there's the Quintessence, the Fifth Element.  That's what happens to plasma (fire) as it returns to is next level, pure energy.  The ancients said millennia ago that the Quintessence is non-material, pure spirit.  You can do the research yourself, but I am telling you that more & more the scientists (with their electron microscopes and atom-smashers at other exotica you cannot even imagine) are being forced to admit/theorize/face the probability that whatever the "pure energy" state of "matter" is...It is NOT inside this space/time continuum.

• The essence of matter is spirit.  The Quintessence.
• All existence is the pure AIN expressing WILL through WORD.

And that's what "you" are made of. 

Destiny

Back to Philippians 2.

God's journey from AIN to ANI and back to AIN that he first did as Jesus is the Eternal Journey He is doing through all of us.  Before the worlds were made He knew you.  And your destiny, your calling, is (back) to His Eternal Glory.  1 Peter 5:10 is a fine place to start, but there are many more.

The Limitless wills to die to being limitless.  This pure Spirit becomes encased in Will, then Thought, then Desire, and then becomes Animated into Matter.  Just like pure energy slowing to plasma then gas then liquid then solid.

No wonder, then, that the ancients have seen parallels between the 5 elements and us:

• Earth is matter is the body. (Assiyah)
• Water is fluid is desire & life. (Yetzirah)
• Air is gas is consciousness. (Beriah)
• Fire is plasma is will. (Atzilut)
• Quintessence is Pure Spirit. (The Negative Veils)

The process by which the AIN deploys itself into body/matter is known as the Involution.  Once it reaches the human stage, where the body, desire, thought, and will are all consciously accessible to the Spirit, then we have reached the halfway point in the journey.

That brings the AIN from Phil 2:5 through the 1st half of Phil 2:8:

Your attitude should be the same as that of Jesus Christ: Who, being in very nature God (AIN), did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human (ANI) likeness. And being found in appearance as a man...

To summarize, then, the AIN becomes ANI through Will, expressed in Word.  This operates via a limiting of the Limitless, a slowing down.  This happens in all sentient beings.  

The timeframes and processes and details of how all that happens is amazing, and eventually available to us, and a part of the mysteries we will uncover.  But for the here and now, they ultimately do not matter.  How AIN determined "I Will Be" ANI is our past, hidden for now, so we can concentrate on what matters most:
